WWWKD? HE-MEN, BAG MEN & NYMPHOS Released Today!

For decades, few knew if he was alive or dead … or perhaps living under a new identity (he’d often used aliases), enjoying a secret new life in one of the many exotic locales he wrote of so convincingly … As the years passed, his name remained known only among old friends, would-be rivals and the most dedicated archaeologists of hard-boiled fiction. But today, thanks to editors Bob Deis of MensPulpMags.com and Wyatt Doyle from New Texture, the great Walter Kaylin, lost master of pulp fiction and alive and well at 92 (!), returns with a bang: He-Men, Bag Men & Nymphos, the first ever collection of Kaylin’s stories for the men’s adventure magazines of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s is available now.

What Would Walter Kaylin Do? is a question that frequently rang in the heads of pulp scribes on deadline. After all, nobody wrote ’em like Kaylin, whose prodigious output over three decades in the men’s pulp mag trenches was only exceeded by the intensity, outrageousness and frequent savagery of his storytelling. Kaylin’s stories took no prisoners, setting the standard for the kind of excess and wild ingenuity that made men’s adventure magazines notorious, then and now.

He-Men, Bag Men & Nymphos serves up 15 of Kaylin’s greatest stories, lost and unseen for decades, encompassing everything from Westerns to Crime to Exotic Adventure; war, sexy humor, mobster confessions, an introduction to the “real” James Bond - even surfing and science fiction! All packed with plenty of two-fisted action in the inimitable Kaylin style and accompanied by the spectacular artwork and illustrations that accompanied their original publication. Additional contributions by Kaylin’s former men’s magazine editor Bruce Jay Friedman, Kaylin’s family and former colleagues like The Godfather’s Mario Puzo are anchored by a wide-ranging conversation with Kaylin himself.

He-Men, Bag Men & Nymphos is more than just a killer collection of jaw-dropping pulp by one man; it’s a celebration of an entire breed of writers who sweated over Smith-Coronas to forge an unforgettable era of hard-boiled pulp fiction that has yet to be equaled.

So … What Would Walter Kaylin Do? The answers are in the book – if you’ve got the steel to handle them!

HE-MEN, BAG MEN & NYMPHOS - Next from New Texture

From the men who brought you Weasels Ripped My Flesh! comes . . .

He-Men, Bag Men & Nymphos, a collection of hi-test vintage men's adventure magazine pulp fiction by the legendary Walter Kaylin, hits bookshelves like a clenched fist this October!

Kaylin, a "writer's writer" whose contributions to men's adventure pulps spanned all three decades of the mags' colorful history, will be known to readers of our Weasels Ripped My Flesh! anthology from the pair of unforgettable Kaylin yarns included there. (And if you're not already a Weasels reader, what are you waiting for?)

He-Men, Bag Men & Nymphos delivers hundreds of pages of classic Kaylin, stories that set the standard for excess, ingenuity and outrageousness in men's pulps and made him both a readers' favorite and the envy of fellow men's adventure scribes like Mario Puzo, John Bowers and Bruce Jay Friedman.

The great Walter Kaylin is finally given his due in this rich, eclectic collection of his most memorable work, presented by MensPulpMags.com's Robert Deis and New Texture's Wyatt Doyle.

There is more to say about Walter Kaylin — much more. But for now, we'll let the cover do the talking.

Watch this space.
